I don’t think I ever posted an update from the other day... okay last Wednesday... when we got like 10" of nice fluffy snow. I put up a little gif of me doing donuts in about an inch of snow; it got a bit deeper before they plowed and it looks so much cooler this way.
I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again. I live in a rural town, at the end of a dead end which tees off another dead end, which is two miles up a back road. However, there’s a lovely cul-de-sac right in front of our house. It’s a little like having our own personal parking lot that we don’t have to maintain. And every time it snows....
This is the most fun, where they only plow half, leaving a little pile to bust through. What’s not fun about that? What’s really telling is that I can see everything I need to see... out my side window.
Now, if only I could get a friend with some real video equipment to come by on a snow day...

In a nutshell:

My daily work commute is eight miles each way, through twisty backroads, a tiny mountain section, and an onramp that I’ve drifted every weekday for the past four years give or take. That said... I’m so jealous right now. Where is this?

When I do this with other people in the car, I literally say “Whee!” and let go of the wheel and put my hands up in the air while I say it - when it’s possible to do so, that is. Which is more often than one would think.

I always picture the clip from the BMW film a few years back with Clive Owen (I think?) where he has Madonna in the back seat of an M5 and he’s sliding through an intersection with his hands off the wheel, smiling at her plastered against one of the doors in the back seat.
